Here I'm playing a Baldwin Amplified Classical Guitar at Dontes Jazz Club, the "Studio 54" of the Los Angeles Jazz scene. The Baldwin Prismatic Pickup had the capability to amplify the exact sound produced by the guitar on which it was mounted. The playing characteristics where exactly the same as those of an unamplified instrument in that the amount of volume was directly responsive to the amount of pressure applied in plucking the strings. I played this guitar along with  Baldwin Model C3 amp for many years. Other players to use this same set were Willie Nelson and Charlie Byrd.
