The great guitar maker Paul Reed Smith and his mentor Ted McCarty. Ted was the President of Gibson Guitar until the mid 60's. He knew every studio player in the country. We could send our guitars to the factory and they would fix it free. In some instances, Gibson would send us a loaner guitar to replace the one under repair.
